Qualitative Researcher. Author. Consultant.
Previously an Indian, South Asian, and world citizen, I am currently also learning to be a proud Bavarian and self-deprecating German. I have lived and worked in India, the United States, Italy, and Oman, but made Germany my home in 2017.
As a trained anthropologist, I am a firm believer in anthropology's ability to answer perplexing questions and solve vexing problems concerning people's emotions, attitudes, and needs, but, in my career, I have also been a true multi-disciplinarian, drawing from multiple knowledge systems and worlds. As a lifelong learner, I have always been keen on bringing my existing skills and strengths to new challenges and fields, whether it is learning German and the Bavarian dialect as an ethnographer or design thinking as an experienced researcher.
I have been recognized for my empirical/qualitative research skills in Europe, the United States, and India with various project grants, positions, and invited talks. I am known in my research community/network for my ability to synthesize vast amounts of information for project presentations and deliverables within short timeframes and ambitious deadlines.
Finally, I have been honing on my communication skills since 2004 when I started out as a journalist and, in January 2020, I published my first monograph, Courting Desire: Litigating for Love in North India. I regularly share my analysis via articles in newspapers, digital media, and and personal blog.
